This is me! Emma Flournoy, at your service.

I’m an innately detail-oriented person, and mentally correcting typos has been a habit from early on.

Besides reading anything from historical classics to essays on fairy stories to nutrition facts labels, I love thinking, humans, and music. (And more, like etymology, and researching interesting topics to death, and obsessing over skilled storytelling. And Hardanger fiddles.)

Things of meaning and beauty make me happy, as does chocolate. We could debate how beautiful chocolate actually is, but it’s got to be up there. (Though I think Baroque music takes the cake even over chocolate.)

But my greatest passion isn’t words or music or even proofreading; it’s to know and make known the true Word, who became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14).

Jesus Christ is my passion, vision, and strength, and His mercy and truth are the foundation of all I strive for. I pray He’s honored here and everywhere else. (If you don’t know Him, feel free to hit me up or check this out—or both!)

Thanks for being here, friend. I look forward to working with you!

Words of the wise, spoken quietly, should be heard

Rather than the shout of a ruler of fools.
